About Us
Based in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, we are a community group with a diverse range of members that have a passion for improving their communication skills as part of developing overall self-confidence. Previously a Toastmasters club, but, in 2021 we decided to go out on our own as a dedicated club so that we could best serve our members and community. At the start of 2022, Speak Easy was born!
Every Thursday
7.30AM - 8.30AM **
Old Packhouse Market Cafe (505 Kerikeri Road, Kerikeri).
Our weekly meetings generally involve a couple of scheduled speeches, the opportunity for impromptu 'Tiny Talks' and evaluations to aid the learning of everyone attending. We have an in-formal approach and look to strike a balance between thought-provoking conversations combined with light-hearted humour and having fun. We have a break halfway through the meeting for tea/coffee and there's also time before and after meetings for members to mix and mingle.

Guests are able to attend two meetings before deciding if they would like to join as a member. Don't worry, you can simply sit and observe from the comfort of your chair, or, if you would like to participate during meetings that's fine aswell.
